The Mongolian national team that competed at the 2025 IMMAF Junior and Senior World Championships has returned home. The event took place in Tbilisi, Georgia, from September 27 to October 3, bringing together over 1,000 athletes from more than 80 countries.

In the 65.8 kg category of the Junior division, Altanchimeg Baigalmaa, an athlete from One Team Fighting Center and a student at the Ikh Zasag School of Security and Law Enforcement, claimed the gold medal, proudly raising Mongolia’s national flag high over Tbilisi.

With this remarkable achievement, the Mongolian national team ranked 17th overall in the championship medal standings. Ukraine topped the list with 16 medals, followed by Tajikistan with 14 medals.

During the championships, the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) held its 2025 Awards Ceremony and General Assembly, where the Mongolian Mixed Martial Arts Federation (MMMAF) was honored as Asia’s Best Federation, recognizing its outstanding achievements and initiatives throughout the year.

Additionally, during the General Assembly, members of the newly established Police Sports Development Commission were elected. Colonel B. Oyutbold, President of the Bayankhongor Province MMA Association, was elected to serve as one of its members.

Thus, the “Georgia 2025” World Championships became a memorable and victorious event for both Mongolian athletes and the Mongolian Mixed Martial Arts Federation, filled with pride and success.

We wish our athletes continued success in their upcoming competitions.

The Mongolian Mixed Martial Arts Federation extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mungunguur Hospital for their invaluable support and partnership in advancing the sport of mixed martial arts in Mongolia.
