The 2024 IMMAF Youth World Championship took place from August 5 to 10 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, bringing together over 850 young athletes from 45 countries. This year’s event set a new record for participation, reflecting the rapid global growth of mixed martial arts, as highlighted by IMMAF President Mr. Kerrith Brown.

Mongolia’s eight-member team made a significant impact, with Mungunzul Altangadas earning the country’s first-ever medal at an IMMAF World Championship. Competing in the Girls’ -44 kg category, Mungunzul showcased exceptional skill and determination, defeating an athlete Ukraine to secure the bronze medal.

The medal table was led by Team Ukraine, followed by Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Mongolia’s single bronze medal placed the nation 23rd overall in the rankings, marking a proud milestone for Mongolian MMA.

IMMAF President Mr. Brown emphasized that the Youth World Championships provide a safe and fair platform for young MMA athletes to showcase their skills and resilience on the global stage. He also announced that Abu Dhabi will continue to host the championship for the next three editions, under the agreement between IMMAF and UAEMMAF.
